25 years of sweetness: the story of Abuela Ili Chocolate
A journey of family, tradition, and gratitude from Pampaneira, in the heart of the Alpujarra.
Our beginnings
25 years ago, in November, an idea was born that seemed crazy: to open a small chocolate factory in the heart of the Alpujarra. My parents, who are no longer with us, were the ones who dreamed of this project and passed on their passion for artisanal chocolate.
I remember the excitement of the first orders and also the difficult times, when we didn’t know if we could continue. The family was always there: my siblings helping and advising, and that’s how we built what is still our essence today: a family project full of love and flavor.
A Family that Grows with You
What started as a small adventure is now a large family. And we’re not just talking about us, but about everyone who has accompanied us on this journey.
Maybe you were that child who tasted the chocolate bar 25 years ago and now you share it with your own children. Every memory, every smile, and every chocolate bar has made us bigger and stronger.
Our inspiration
What moves us is not only sweets, but the life that surrounds the Alpujarra. Walking through Pampaneira, getting lost in its streets at night, feeling the magic of this unique place… all that inspires us to continue creating authentic chocolates that connect with the land and with the people.
That’s why we always say the same thing: if you want to visit us, our doors are open. Here you will find much more than chocolate; you will find home.
Thank you for these 25 years
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of this story. For every purchase, every visit, every word of encouragement, and every shared memory.
We will continue working with the same enthusiasm as the first day to offer you the best artisanal chocolate in Spain, made with passion and tradition.
✨ Happy holidays and many more years of shared sweetness! ✨
